Watershed «Vanjob»
Vanj Valley is 103 km long and covers watershed territory of about 2070 km2 running on the south-west towards the river Vanj inflows to the river Panj, flowing from the south, toward the border with Afghanistan. Next, on the west side along the Afghan border Panj river merges with river Vakhsh and form the Amu-Daryo river. The total land area of Vanj district is 443,047 hectares, of which 50,284 hectares are for forests and bushes, and about 10,053 ha is agricultural land. The remainder is unused land.
